New Moon in Cancer June 2017

Just days after the beautiful Summer Solstice, the new moon in cancer welcomes us into her sacred presence.

This new moon time holds the energy of Cancer, a watery and yet incredibly powerful sign. This moon is also a Super Moon.

This moon continues to mirror what was offered to us during the Summer Solstice, and that is the reminder of change. Transformation, rebirth, renewal and empowerment are all being offered by this sacred moon and solstice time. How are you stepping forward? Are you aligning with these words of change?

We have the moon and sun both offering us the space to shift. What are you ready to begin doing with this cycle? Are you ready to step forward boldly and ask for the job you want? Are you ready to commit deeper in love, in life or in your own purpose? Are you feeling called to support others on this journey? You are being cradled right now for something great.

I would guess you have been feeling these shifts already. Sometimes when we are not seemingly ready, we feel as though we are breaking open the caccoon and flopping onto the ground. We may be saying to ourselves - I didn't sign up for this - I am not ready - Who am I to shine brightly?

I often read this quote during yoga at our sacred Goddess Retreats and it may spark something within you too~

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of the Universe. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of the Universe that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Now is your time, sister, to be authentic to you. As you rest and relax during this new moon time, allow yourself to dream fully. What are you ready for? How are you ready for it? How can you create it?

Make plenty of space to relax and rejuvenate. Especially if you are menstruating with the new moon, take things slowly. Connect to your womb space. Meditate. Be at peace.

Here are 7 things that are beautiful to do during the new moon time~

-take a hot bath with rose water and candles or with your sacred bath salt

-get a massage or make a foot soak for yourself

-find a peaceful place outside and rest on the earth with a good book

-find a friend who can watch your little ones for a few hours so you can fully recharge

-walk to your favorite place - trail, beach, mountain - and meditate in nature

-find the space to journal and write out what you are releasing

-create a sacred fire ceremony and burn papers with your wounds and pain written on them

Have a beautiful new moon time sister! If you feel called to share what you are ready to create, please leave a comment or tag us on Facebook or Instagram @goddessceremony.

In lunar gratitude,
