Guatemala is a stunning country in the heart of Central America. Here the Mayan people still thrive and live traditionally off the earth wearing their traditional clothing and making fresh tortillas in the street. The villages on Lake Atitlan are called "eternal spring" because the weather here year round resembles the warm days and cool nights of spring. Isla Verde is a gorgeous resort on Lake Atitlan, a lake surrounded by volcanos. Those who have been here can only describe the lake and Guatemala as magical. This area has for many years attracted people seeking transformation, peace and conscious living.
Isla Verde has incredible views of Lake Atitlan, tucked back in the lush greenery of the mountain side. Here, immersed in the jungle with beautifully crafted cabinas, 3 organic meals a day and 2 large yoga decks, we will Awaken our Wild Woman. We will be given the space and freedom to embody our authentic selves and connect deeply with our sisters.
Together we will participate in yoga daily, ecstatic dance, a cacao ceremony, a fire ceremony, permaculture, meditation, sacred ceremonies, nature excursions, hiking and more within the heart of Guatemala.

FAQs
Is Guatemala safe?
Guatemala in general is a safe and beautiful country. Like any major city, Guatemala City has some areas to avoid. We recommend taking a shuttle from the airport to Lake Atitlan. With some common sense and respect for the country, you won't have any problems.
What airport do I fly into?
You can fly into Guatemala City (GUA) quite cheap from any major airport.
How do I get to Isla Verde?
Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive detailed instructions on how to get to Isla Verde. From Guatemala City, you will take a shuttle to Panajachel which is on Lake Atitlan. From there you will take a boat to Isla Verde. These boats run every 30 minutes and give breathtaking views of the lake.

What kind of yoga will we be practicing?
We will be practicing Wild Goddess Yoga, a divine fusion of traditional yoga, breathwork and empowering postures and poses for women, and Yin Yoga, a relaxing yoga that helps open the hips, shoulders and heart in a gentle but powerful way. These classes are all accessible for all levels. Our instructor is highly trained and can help modify for any injury or preference.

What our days will look like...

Imagine waking to the sun bright in the sky and slowly walking to join us on the yoga deck overlooking Lake Atitilan. We meditate and you feel your body recharge and recenter under the glow of the sun. Then we move into Wild Goddess Yoga and you feel empowered and strong as we flow. After yoga, it's breakfast time and you enjoy a delicious homemade feast as you laugh and connect with the amazing women around you. Next, it's time for a workshop and you sit absorbing the wisdom of the earth beneath you and to the sound of the waves. It's lunch time again and you feast on the delicious spread of food, made with love and intention. There's a couple hours of free time so you choose to hike a bit and then relax on a comfy chair overlooking the lake, soaking in the sunshine and the magic within the water. Dinner is next and then we move into a sacred cacao ceremony where you sit and enjoy raw chocolate just as thousands of Mayan women have before you. The evening ends in laughter, gratitude and the incredible feeling of knowing you are exactly where you are meant to be in this moment.
