7 Powerful Quotes for all Women, Goddesses and Human Beings

Finding powerful quotes is one of my favorite things to do. We've all been there, whether in a yoga class sweaty in savasana or reading something when we find a quote that touches us. And I mean touches you. I like quotes that strike something deep within me and make me stop to ponder the great mysteries in the world.

These 7 quotes are some of my personal favorites for women!

1.

“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”

~Rumi

2.

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”

~Anais Nin

3.

"There is no controlling life.

Try corralling a lightning bolt,

containing a tornado. Dam a

stream and it will create a new

channel. Resist, and the tide

will sweep you off your feet.

Allow, and grace will carry

you to higher ground. The only

safety lies in letting it all in -

the wild and the weak; fear,

fantasies, failures and success.

When loss rips off the doors of

the heart, or sadness veils your

vision with despair, practice

becomes simply bearing the truth.

In the choice to let go of your

known way of being, the whole

world is revealed to your new eyes."

~Danna Faulds

4.

After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul and you learn love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't always mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't always promises and you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and and your eyes ahead with the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child. And you learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight. After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers And you learn that you really can endure, that you really are strong and you really do have worth and you learn and you learn with every good-bye you learn.

~Veronica A. Shoffstall

5.

“It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain!I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it, or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithlessand therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see beauty even when it's not pretty, every day,and if you can source your own life from its presence. I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes!”It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.

I want to know if you can get up, after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you, from the inside, when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.”

~Oriah Mountain Dreamer

6.

“Let go of that which is gone.

Let go of that which is lost.

Let go of that which is not yet happening.

What has happened in the past

and what will happen in the future

exists only in your mind.

What is happening now

is the infinite caress of the universe.

To touch the eternal now

and let it enfold you in its infinite love.

What is happening now is the perfect outcome

of all you have been, and all you have done.

It is all here to teach you.

It is all here to love you.

It is all here to liberate you.

And it is all perfect.

Release that which is going out.

Embrace that which is coming in.

Leave alone that which has not yet come.

Want nothing, and embrace everything.

Relax into what is, and what is will take care of you.

Let it be what it is.”

~Amrit Desa

7.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people

will not feel insecure around you.

We were born to make and manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,

we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,

our presence automatically liberates other."

~Marianne Williamson

I hope this have resonated with you!

In gratitude,
