Eclipse season is here and some major astrological events are happening right now, and so is it any surprise that we are also witnessing an upheaval of an old system that has harmed so many?
The world is mourning injustices and a revolution is taking place for our Black community with this fiery Full Moon in Sagittarius. Here, amidst so much pain, devotion and community unity we say - no more.
We have all been called to rise up and embody this fiery, fierce energy to call for change. Lunar eclipses are a time of deep healing and change. Known to shake up the energy and question the status quo, we are watching things be dismantled to make space for true equality, justice and awareness.
June's Full Moon is known as the Strawberry Moon as it traditionally marked the time of the first harvest. This too symbolizes this fertile time of growth, change and community action.
Every heart is heavy right now, and harnessing this powerful Full Moon to create change is a necessity. Whether that change for you is rooted in protesting, hard conversations with people around you, donating to organizations that are helping our Black community or a deep immersion into self education - it is all needed here.
A transformation is happening right before our eyes. These old paradigms that have harmed the Black community for centuries are falling and we are unifying to come back to what it means to be human: to love, to connect, to come together.
You are being called to rise and do the work. You are being called to stand with your fellow humans. Now is the time to support this radical transformation into a new way of living for our sisters and brothers.
Here are three ways to harness this powerful Full Moon:
Journal your emotions
Many of us may feel overwhelmed, shocked and even paralyzed with emotions and fear. Release these out onto a piece of paper and recognize how you can use these emotions to create change and impact.
Commit to showing up for the Black community. Have those hard conversations. Look at your own practices and beliefs and choose to dismantle them. Donate. Share. Connect.
Take time to learn
Education is needed for all of us right now. Here are some resources to help us all understand how we can better support our Black brothers and sisters: 13th on Netflix, the book White Fragility, and this resource page about privilege. We've also loved the wisdom of our sister Loralei Bayette on Instagram.
Other ways to celebrate:
-lay your crystals outside with the full moon
-make a full moon bath salt and enjoy a luxurious bath
-tune into the GoddessCeremony Podcast and get inspiration
-make a nourishing herbal tea to regulate your cycle
Feel into the revolution and transformation that is happening right before your eyes. Our world will never be the same. We will ALL do better together.
