Turn Your Office into an Urban Jungle
Office plants are more than just beautiful additions to a workspace. Plants have the ability to purify the air and improve our health.
Working in an office or at a desk doesn’t have to be boring - it can be full of life, green or even pops of color! You can have your own little office oasis or desktop sanctuary that not only brings you joy but also benefits your space and quality of life!
Office plants bring a little nature indoors, and with that, health benefits. Plants act as air purifiers. They have the ability to remove toxins, like formaldehyde, from the air. This is really important because being indoors all day can mean no fresh air and a higher air pollution quality from things like wall paint, furnishings, and building materials.
Plants are great to have indoors because they increase the humidity in a space due to releasing almost all of their water back into the air. Therefore, acting as a humidifier which helps decrease the dryness in the air that can cause dry skin, dry cough, sore throats, and colds.
It’s all about choosing the right plants! Picking plants that are low maintenance is key. You don’t want to choose plants that require a lot of water, sunlight, or attention.
Some of our favorite office plants are Rex Begonias, English Ivy, Aloe, Rubber Tree Plants, and ZZ Plants.
-Our Favorite Office Plants-
~Rex Begonias require medium to low light and can dry between waterings.
They’re our favorite because of their unique pops of color and they help to purify the air!
~English Ivy does well in low to moderate light and the soil can dry out between waterings. And helps remove toxins such as formaldehyde.
~Aloe does need full sun, but the soil can be left on the dry side, especially in the winter. It helps remove toxins and also serves as a first aid kit for scrapes and burns.
~Rubber Tree Plants are low maintenance plants that require bright indirect light and only needs to be watered once or twice a month. And helps remove toxins.
