Living My Manifestation and Becoming a Yoga Instructor

We honored to share this guest blog post by the lovely Danielle Pitcher on manifestation and powerfully creating the life of her dreams. Please comment below and let us know your thoughts!

Almost a year ago I manifested for the very first time in my life. I told the universe exactly what I wanted: my family to be healthy, my marriage to continue down a path of love and respect and to become a yoga instructor.

I needed something for me. I felt like I had lost myself. In a way I was just a house wife and a mom. Don’t get me wrong, I love and am proud being both of those things, but it is so easy to lose yourself and put everyone else first. I needed a change.

I started doing yoga two years ago. It changed my life mentally, physically and emotionally. It makes me feel alive. Yoga helped me realize the importance of self-care, self-love and self-study. Yoga made me a better me… a better mom, by allowing me to see through a different lens, which taught me patience and understanding.

So, when I manifested to become a yoga instructor, I was thinking a couple years in the future, when my kids were older. However, a few months after manifesting, I was sitting at my regular yoga class and they announced a new yoga teacher training program. My heart started pounding because I knew this was a great opportunity. Yes, I was terrified, as I had not done anything for myself in what seemed like a lifetime. Although, everything appeared to be happening naturally and with such ease. I was content to go with the flow and to let the puzzle pieces keep falling into place.

I loved the whole experience. I continue to learn so much about myself throughout this whole process. I will forever be grateful for the knowledge gained during my yoga teaching training and the beautiful souls I continue to meet.

After graduating in December, I was uncertain about what I was going to do next. I just knew I couldn’t wait to share my love for yoga with everyone else. It has been incredible. Just like my training, everything has aligned without much resistance. I have been given more opportunities than I could have imagined. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about how blessed I have been. With a lot more trust than effort, showing gratitude and continuing manifestation. I am genuinely the happiest I have ever been. For instance, I feel so connected to (everything) my truest self, the universe, my family, friends, strangers, mother nature; realizing how intertwined everything is. When you become aware, and in tune, with the universe and energy around us, you can ask for what you have always desired.

For me, yoga is not about how good you look in a pose, how long you can balance or about being flexible. Nor is it a practice of the body or the mind. Yoga is becoming your highest state of being, through knowing yourself as a soul embodied in a physical body. It is about becoming in tune with the energy that runs though all of us. You go from doing to being. Being fully present in every moment: from talking to listening, from thinking to truly experiencing and from judging to unconditional love. Love towards yourself and everyone around you. Whenever I am feeling blocked on an emotional, spiritual and/or physical level, yoga and love has helped me get beyond those layers to find the source of the pain. Allowing me to walk through it, understand it and let go of whatever is holding me back. Yoga is not a practice it is a way of living.

I have felt changes in my own life since I have started on my own personal journey. I have also witnessed changes in my girls since practicing yoga with them. I have always felt connected to kids, as they are fun, curious, non-judgmental, brutally honest, full of life little humans. But, I feel like we are headed in the wrong direction as a society and we are making things worse for our children. We are all looking for instance gratification, we lack patience, empathy and personal connection with others. Yoga provides a wonderful outlet for children (and adults) to explore their bodies, hearts and minds. It also gives all of us the resources we need to lead healthier, happier lives. For example, it helps reduce stress, anxiety, anger and other emotions. I am very passionate about helping children, who too often suffer from high levels of stress and are completely lacking the skills to navigate them in this complex world. I was startled by the increase in youth violence, bullying, depression and suicide rates. I want to help kids understand they already have these tools inside of them and we just need to have the mindfulness and awareness to access them to help us get through anything. Life is full of expected and unexpected challenges. How do we respond? That is where this beautiful practice is applied; learning valuable social emotional skills that help build personal resilience to last a lifetime.

I have been given a wonderful opportunity to start a kid’s yoga program in my city. Sometimes I must take a step back just to realize this is happening and it’s real. This was just a distant dream only a year ago and now I am living it. Is this really my life? YES, Danielle it is!

The reality is, I manifested. I prayed. I thanked the universe for all my blessings. I felt a tremendous amount of gratitude every day, as I looked and listened to all the signs. I don’t believe in coincidences. I don’t believe in chance. I believe in magic. I believe in cosmos. I believe that there is a force of energy far greater than we can imagine. Listening to us, waiting for us to believe and ask. You deserve everything. Stop thinking you are not worthy.

YOU ARE.

We all are.

Go pick up a pen and a paper. Now go to a comforting spot (e.g. beach, mountains, quiet room, etc.) close your eyes and connect to your breath. Feel your heart with gratitude for all your blessing. Then, start thinking about: what your heart desires? What do you want in your life? Manifestations can bring you exactly what you desire, but you have to know what it is that you want. Write it down, be specific, be positive. Don’t overthink it. Let go of the “how” and trust and surrender to the flow of the universe, and when your ready for it, you will receive it. You have to be willing to take the first step. Take action, follow the signs and listen to your intuition. Your soul, your gut will never lead your astray.

After manifesting almost, a year ago, to become a yoga instructor, and me sitting in my yoga class that morning and hearing that announcement “We have a yoga teaching training coming up”. If I was not ready to take the first step, act or ignored my gut feeling, heart racing or my intuition screaming “YES, this is for you. Take this chance and forget fear. You got this.” A dear sister, and friend, once told me “You are the creator of your reality.” This has really stuck with me. Of course, we are. Manifestations has worked for me. I am living my dream, I am living my manifestation. You can too.
